If you are a new supplier, that wants to distribute to private and/or hospital pharmacies, or if you have questions about existing agreements, please feel free to contact Commercial Affairs.

Branded products/over the counter products

Product Range Development determines, develops and manages Nomeco's wholesaler's range of branded products, primarily sold to the Danish private pharmacies. Read more about branded products.

Veterinary pharmaceuticals

Nomeco Wholesale manages veterinary pharmaceuticals for livestock and negotiates trade agreements with all suppliers of veterinary pharmaceuticals. Veterinary pharmaceuticals are divided in two groups:

Liberalised: Pharmaceuticals to livestock (species that are kept commercially for the production of meat, milk, eggs, honey, wool and fur)

Pharmacy-only: Pharmaceuticals to pets.

If you have questions regarding veterinary pharmaceuticals, please feel free to contact Commercial & Legal Affairs.

Non-registered pharmaceuticals (IRS)

Non-registered pharmaceuticals (IRS) cover pharmaceuticals that have not been marketed for the Danish market. The pharmaceuticals can under special circumstances be sold/distributed in Denmark according to a prior authorisation issued by the Danish Medicines Agency. The authorisation can be requested by doctors, veterinarians and dentists in Denmark.

For Nomeco wholesale to manage IRS, the supplier must inform Nomeco wholesale and the Danish Medicines Agency, who the responsible manufacturer is to the Danish market. Responsible manufacturers require a Danish §39 authorisation granted by the Danish Medicines Agency.

If you wish to distribute an IRS to private and/or hospital pharmacies, or do you have questions related to IRS, please feel free to contact Commercial & Legal Affairs.
